In my heartlocks - to those who matter the most
Sowmya is a passionate educator with over a decade of experience in fostering inclusive and creative learning environments. As the Academic Head (Primary) at PKD Matric Hr Sec School, she holds a Master's in Applied Psychology and is a certified Dyslexic trainer and Dance Movement Therapist. A trained classical dancer, she also pursues Kathak, Mohiniyattom, and singing. Sowmya co-authored textbooks and activity books, composed songs, and written rhymes for theme-based curricula. She has published two solo books, My Own Scribbles and So Says My Heart, and has received awards including the Proud India Ratna Award and 21st Century Emily Dickinson Award.
